Wolverton Town is well known within Milton Keynes for being an old railway town; this is illustrated by the old railway houses and the traditional look of the shopping areas within the town.
The main focal point of shopping in Wolverton High Street is the Agora shopping Centre which is fairly similar to the Bletchley Agora as it is home to a wide range of different shops and services, including a small indoor market, hairdressers and numerous clothing shops.
Every Friday and Saturday an outdoor market can be found on Wolverton Town High Street which is held there with a car boot sale on every Sunday.
Outside of the Wolverton Town Agora there are many small traditional shops offering shoppers the chance to pick up a great bargain. The shops along the main high street range from groceries to takeaway to furnishings. But if you delve further in and behind the Agora, you can reach the hidden historic square of Wolverton accomodating a pharmacy, opticians and a shoe shop offering a wide variety of shoes, some which you can not get in shops in the main city centre.
As well as Wolverton offering a large array of small tradition shops, it is also home to a 24 hour Tesco, Farmfoods and a large Netto selling products for everyone’s shopping needs.
Dining ranges from light tea room treats to hearty carvery fare, and real ales and organic wines can be found in Winslow Town's pubs and bars. | |
