ISRA 2008 Slot Car World Championships

11- 19 October 2008

Motorsport of the miniature kind comes to thecentre:mk. The ISRA 2008 Slot Car World Championships will feature the best racers from around the world in this unique, fast paced, adrenalin fuelled event coming to Milton Keynes for the first time. These mini race machines, with very high revving motors, produce staggering performance, are distant relative from the home slot cars sets used by families around the nation.

Get your driving gloves on! There will also be a public track for novices to try slot car racing for the first time. The lights go green in October…

Picasso's Women - The Plays The Thing

The Plays The Thing is a new and exciting professional theatre company for Milton Keynes. It aims to cproduce challenging and thought provoking work; from the classic cannon to modern plays and work from new writers.

With Rosemary Hill and Pam Ryder

There were nine women who influenced Pablo Picasso's work; one was his mother-eight were his wives and lovers. This innovative new company presents Olga and Marie Therese- two of Picasso's Women.

Stripping away traditional theatrical conventions, it uses suggestions of set, costumes and props-the plays the thing.
