thecentre:mk Guide

thecentre:mk is a regional shopping centre situated in the heart of Milton Keynes. With over 230 shops, cafes and restaurants all under one roof, it is anchored by John Lewis, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer and Next.

Often called the Milton Keynes Shopping Centre, the centre mkis the premier shopping destination in the region between London and Birmingham, Cambridge and Oxford. the centre:mk enjoys around 30 million visits every year and is unrivalled in its customer service and facilities.

Included in the overall proposition are civic spaces and events venues; City Square, Queens Court and Middleton Hall which offer a varied programme of free events throughout the year, including bridal shows, fashion events, motor shows and the award winning Christmas display.

Creche

thecentre:mk's shoppers Crèche is located on Silbury Arcade near Next and John Lewis. The main play area is a state-of-the-art stimulating environment with soft play areas, fibre optic lighting, bubble tube, ball pool, games and toys.

As well as organised art and craft activities to keep little ones entertained there is also several Playstations, a dance mat and many DVDs.

As an added extra the Creche offer a party booking service featuring a jungle themed room holding up to 3 children aged 4 – 8 and is available Monday to Friday from 6 till 7:30pm for a cost of around £70.

Customer Services

Customer Toilets - are located on the Deer Walk Door 9 on Silbury Arcade. These toilets have Disabled Access, Baby Changing Facilities, a Mother and Baby Feeding Room with assistants on hand to help with any problems.

Family Facilities - To help keep an eye on your kids whilst looking round the shops thecentre:mk have a range of facilities available free of charge from Customer Services, near Bhs on Silbury Arcade including: Buggies, Rein Hire, ID Wristbands and Kiddy Cars (from £2).

Disabled Access

Shopmobility the centre mk is located on the outside of the centre between Crown walk and Deer Walk and offers wheelchairs for hire. They also offer wheelchairs, scooters,bus cards and other specialist equipment for sale.

Hire of wheelchairs is free however it is advisable that wheelchairs etc are booked at least a day in advance of a shopping trip.
Disabled parking is available all around the outside of the centre near all entrances (no lifts, stairs or ramps to deal with).

Parking

There are over 16,000 parking spaces around the centre mk – for a guide on where to find free or pay and display bay areas please look at the image to the right.

Disabled parking can be found near most of the Milton Keynes Shopping Centre entrance doors too.

Shoppers can also park in one of 4 nearby multi-storey car parks at Midsummer Place shopping centre, Avebury Boulevard, The Theatre District and The Food Centre (limited to 2 hours).

The majority of Central Milton Keynes parking is free after 6pm and all pay & display bays are free on Bank Holidays.
